Being able to serve the men in Indianapolis was such a rewarding experience.
I had a great time painting the lobby of The Salvation Army Women’s shelter!
Sorted and labeled new shoes donated to the Chin Community of Indiana with Alice McColgin.
During the event, Smoke Free Indy did a tobacco filter clean-up and collected OVER three pounds of littered cigarette butts in ONLY one hour! In addition to the clean-up, we provided Indiana Tobacco Quitline resources for those who use tobacco and were thinking about quitting and asking for support to increase the Indiana Tobacco Tax by $2.00 next year during the legislative budget year. Great time and experience and will continue to support!
It was a very positive experience and the participants and the volunteers were enthusiastic.
Well organized and fun.
